Hits and Kicks is the brain child of Portuguese born Music Maestro Sergio Guiomar and French born House music Dj and producer Mikael Georgelin (Mikkael). This two lads met up in Tavira, Portugal back in 2003 where they realize quickly that they were sharing the same passion for music. They will have their first attempt of music production with an RM1X Yamaha, a Roland MC 505, a Pionneer DJM 500 as mixing desk, a mini disk as recording device, a flute, a darbooka and plenty of passion . They have played some live set there and enjoyed every bit of it but due to technical limitation never recorded anything really concrete. During this years in Portugal they have traveled hundreds of kilometers to follow the electronic music scene which was a big boom at that time in Portugal. Then Sergio left for Spain to study music while Mikkael closed his bar and left for UK in order to carry on with his Dj career. The bridge was broken and the production process was stopped. After few years spent in Spain Sergio moved to London to carry more further his music studying, while Mikkael moved from Brighton to Bristol to follow his Dj and producer career. They rapidly found out that they were now living in the same country and after few phone calls and text they decide to meet up again to see if the magic still there... and Hits and Kicks was born. Sergio is a one of those talented music virtuoso who can play roughly every single music instrument he will find in his hand doubled with a degree in music production. Mikkael is one of those House Music Aficionado and has been around the House music scene for few years already with some releases on serious imprint such as Replay, Lingo, Kolour and Phobic recordings just to name a few. Hits and Kicks productions is a combination of Old School House with a modern'ish twist and topped with a "je ne sais quoi" which make every tunes coming out of the box a new experience for the listener.

Mikkaël is resident in Bristol with the Notorious Duvet Gang who produces the infamous Duvet Vous? nights in Bristol for the past decade.
He's as well the other half of "Hits & Kicks" a co-prodution project with his Portugues friend, Sergio Guiomar.
Mikkaël loves honest people, true people, passionate people, free parties, Apple Mac, Logic, Ableton Live, good wine, good food, the sunny days, the rainy days (essential in UK), the after parties, the days after, the day before, the freedom, the smiley faces of happy people, the person who comes and says thank you for the music, the person who offers you a cup of tea when you are DJing, respectful people... and most of all, his wife for her support during all these years, and his daughter, for the sunshine she brings everyday...

SirGeeOh is all about the claps, the hats, some snaps, a few taps, the clicks, he spins, he drops the hits with massive kicks and the sickest licks!
He's been recording music since the good ol' 8 bit days and has no intentions of stopping anytime soon.
With a Music Technology degree under his belt, he has been working for the past few years as a freelancer, in all sorts of music productions and genres, ranging from pop to dance, with a few incursions in cinematic landscapes.
Has worked with such names as Fraser T. Smith (Taio Cruz, Tinchy Stryder) and assisted the legendary Martin Glover 'aka' Youth (The Verve, Heather Nova, Paul McCartney).
Recently teamed up with Mikkaël, one of Bristol's most sought after House DJ's, to form Hits & Kicks, an exceptionally bold and chunky House music act. Keep an ear open for these two cus' they're up to no good!
